The All Progressives Congress (APC), Oyo State Chapter, in collaboration with the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, has commenced a strategic tour of the Oyo Federal Constituency as part of deliberate efforts to consolidate party unity, harmonise stakeholder interests and reinforce mobilisation structures ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The tour, which is expected to extend across all federal constituencies in Oyo State, formally took off at the Oba Adeyemi Stadium, Oyo town, drawing party leaders, stakeholders and members from across the six geopolitical zones of the state. The gathering underscored the party’s renewed resolve to strengthen its grassroots presence and present a united front as preparations intensify for the next general election.
Addressing party faithful at the event, the wife of the former Governor of Oyo State and Ambassador-designate, Chief Florence Ajimobi, commended the initiative, describing it as a timely and strategic platform capable of fostering unity and cohesion within the party.
She noted that the tour reflects the strength, discipline and renewed commitment of the APC in Oyo State, adding that a united party remains the most potent tool for electoral success.
Chief Ajimobi expressed confidence that the engagement would galvanise members across the state, rebuild trust among stakeholders and position the party to reclaim political dominance.
She further stated that the APC in Oyo State is well poised to win all elective positions in the 2027 general elections, given the level of coordination and commitment being demonstrated by party leaders and members.
In his remarks, the Oyo State Ambassador for Renewed Hope, Senator Teslim Folarin, assured party members that the Renewed Hope Ambassadors are working in close synergy with established party structures to champion strategic, coordinated and results-driven mobilisation efforts.
He explained that the collaboration is aimed at expanding support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and effectively communicating the achievements and vision of the Renewed Hope agenda at the grassroots level.
Senator Folarin emphasised that Oyo State is strategically positioned to play a defining role in securing President Tinubu’s re-election in 2027, noting that a united and formidable APC in the state would translate into massive votes for the party at all levels.
He urged members to set aside personal interests and work collectively toward strengthening the party’s internal cohesion and electoral competitiveness.
Party leaders expressed optimism that the initiative would further solidify the APC’s footing in Oyo State and contribute significantly to the party’s national electoral objectives.
