Asabari FM 88.3, in partnership with the Park Management System (PMS) Saki Branch and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Saki Command, organized a comprehensive medical outreach and road safety seminar for motorists and passengers. The initiative, held at the PMS Secretariat in Gbawojo, Saki.
The seminar served as a vital platform for sensitization on best practices in road usage, with a strong emphasis on the prevention of avoidable road mishaps.
In a keynote address, Chief Commander O.O. Osunleti, head of the FRSC Saki Unit, underscored the critical importance of routine vehicle maintenance and adherence to established traffic regulations.
He called on commercial drivers to prioritize pre-trip inspections and emphasized the role of passengers in ensuring safety by actively engaging with monitoring tools such as the FRSC’s official mobile application—a tool designed to promote accountability and curb reckless driving behaviors, which continue to claim lives across the nation.
Alh. Nafiu Busari, General Manager of Asabari FM, expressed profound appreciation for the collaborative efforts of both the FRSC and PMS. He particularly lauded Alhaji Ahmed Adio Osha, Chairman of PMS Saki West, for his unwavering support and strategic coordination.
Alh. Busari reiterated Asabari FM’s commitment to serving as a catalyst for public enlightenment, calling on local stakeholders to support the station’s mission of elevating public discourse and safety education.
Alhaji Ahmed Adio Osha, in his address, charged drivers to uphold a high moral standard, positioning themselves as ambassadors of responsible behavior within the transport sector. He commended the drivers for transforming their occupation into a dignified and community-respected profession.
Also gracing the occasion was the Aganmu of Sakiland, High Chief Jayeola Rasheed, who offered prayers for continued progress within the PMS framework and applauded the foresight behind the safety seminar. He emphasized the significance of such engagements in safeguarding both lives and property.
