Saki Potholes: Chairman needs to work as Kàkàko junction-003 leads with 440 major potholes.

The Saki west local government chairman Hon. Sarafadeen Omirinde needs to work on major roads in Saki West local government as all the roads lead to Saki dual lane turned to a life threatening to road users.

The road host nothing less than over 1000 major potholes.

Over the last 6years there is no major construction of roads from local government authority in Saki which has resulted to vulnerabilities of the roads in the local government.

After the construction of Orite roads, Challenge and Isale Taba roads by Engr. Gbadamosi Yunus (Himus), there is little or no construction of roads in the local government.

On maintenance part, no maintenance is carried out on Saki roads either for palliative purpose or major repairs.

Korrectnews Correspondents reported that during some researches on damages in Saki Roads featuring Ajegunle junction- Igbooro Junction, Ògìdìgbó – Townhall, Townhall-Ìyá-Sanngo junction and Kàkàko junction -Òpó màlúù – 003 junction.

Kàkàko junction – Òpó màlúù – 003 junction road leads with over 440 major potholes which has position the road to be dangerous for commuters, this road needs to be reconstructed to ease the stress of users.

On the same vein, Townhall – Ìyá – Sanngo junction hosts over 198 major and minor potholes, Ajegunle – Igbooro Junction hosts 31 major and minor potholes, while Ògìdìgbó – Townhall host 38.

It is pertinent for the leadership of Saki West local government under the constitutional power of Engr. Sarafadeen Omirinde to critically look at the affected areas and take a drastic steps in revamping the roads and bring succor to the problem facing people in this areas.

The Chairman of the council should be aware that all the roads that leads to the Saki dual lane needs quick intervention if the community is so concerned about the lifespan of the Dual lane, at least “Operation fill the potholes” will go a long way.

One of the user, who also have his business around Oppo Maalu area, Alhaji Taofeeq Ẹranti Ọjọ́, stated that “we thank the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde for the commissioning of Saki Dual lane and urged the Saki west Local Government chairman, Sarafadeen Omirinde to emulate the work of the Governor by embarking on road projects as well, as it’s also serve as a means of livelihood to his people.

He furthered that “It has become a shortchanged in our business and livelihood while using the road because our business are no more moving well due to the bad economy and also the bad state of the road contributes to the bad economy. He concluded.
