In a significant milestone in his legal career, Barrister S. A. Lateef Onijo has been officially sworn in as a Notary Public in Nigeria. The ceremony was conducted by the Chief Judge of Oyo State at the High Court Complex in Ibadan.

The appointment recognizes Barrister Onijo’s dedication, professional excellence, and years of service within the legal profession. As a Notary Public, he is now authorized to perform various legal formalities including the certification, authentication and creation of legal documents, distinguishing of fake from original, administration of oaths, witnessing of affidavits and statutory declarations to mention but a few.
During the ceremony, the Chief Judge commended Barrister Onijo and other colleagues for their commitment to justice and integrity, emphasizing the crucial role notaries play in upholding legal and civil processes.

Dignatories present at the occasion includes former Deputy Governor of Oyo state Hamid Gbadamosi, Commissioner for Establishment and training, Hon. Nìyà Adebisi, former minority leader of OYHA Hon. Rafiu Adekunle, former chairman SWLG Hon Mudasiru Eruobodo, Colleagues, family members and other dignitaries were present to witness the historic and memorable occasion, celebrating a new chapter in Barrister Onijo’s legal journey.

With this appointment, Barrister S. A. Lateef Onijo joins the ranks of respected legal professionals entrusted with the responsibilities of a Notary Public in Nigeria.
