The Saki business tycoon and a Dangote cement distributor, Mr. Abdullahi Dangote, who embarked on getting a rising Journalist and broadcaster in Saki, Monsurat Raji, arrested by members of Saki divisional police and area command for demanding empathy and care for the members of her family that lost their lives in an accident involving a Dangote cement trailer along Ijale-Oda, has been arrested by Oyo state police command and has been transferred to FCID Abuja for further investigation.
Recall that the accident occurred on Monday, May 15, 2023, and put the whole town in a sour mood, which led to the deaths of two individuals of the same family: a pregnant mother and a 2-year-old daughter.
After the accident, Mr. Dangote evacuated the cement at the accident scene and failed to render needful service to the family of the deceased as well as the ailing husband, which led to calling him out on the media and resulted in Mr. Abdullahi getting people arrested for calling him to show empathy as well as take responsibility for the victims after he had done the same for the goods at the accident scene.
Korrectnews learned that he has been detained by the police for further inquiry regarding the case and possibly charging in court.
Our efforts to reach the Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer to get more facts concerning the case proved abortive at the time of filing this report.
