Court Upholds Saki’s Ownership of Palapala, Baale Appreciates Okere for His Dedication

Must read

The people of Sakiland have once again recorded a historic legal victory as the Court of Appeal sitting in Ibadan, on the 22nd of January 2025, dismissed an appeal filed by Ogbooro Town, thereby reaffirming Saki’s ownership of Palapala Village and its environs.

This decision marks a significant affirmation of justice, tradition, and the resilience of the Saki people under the wise leadership of His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Surveyor Khalid Olabisi Ayinla Ado Ilugbemidepo, the esteemed Okere of Sakiland.

The legal journey to this triumphant conclusion began when Ogbooro Town initiated a suit at the Oyo State High Court challenging Saki’s ownership of Palapala Village and its environs.

The High Court, after thoroughly reviewing the evidence, ruled in favor of Saki, affirming its rightful ownership of the disputed land. Dissatisfied with the verdict, Ogbooro Town escalated the matter to the Court of Appeal, seeking a reversal of the High Court’s judgment.

In a keenly observed legal proceeding before a three-man panel at the Court of Appeal, Saki was ably represented by Barrister Prince Abdul-Lateef Olabisi, a distinguished legal practitioner and younger brother of the paramount ruler of Saki.

His compelling arguments and diligent presentation of Saki’s case were instrumental in securing a unanimous decision by the appellate court to dismiss the appeal.

This ruling further strengthens the position of Saki as the rightful custodian of Palapala Village and its environs, a territory deeply rooted in its historical and cultural heritage.

Baale of Palapala, Chief Tiamiyu Olowookere Oloba has therefore extend profound congratulations to His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Surveyor Khalid Olabisi Ayinla Ado Ilugbemidepo, for his steadfast leadership that continues to uphold the dignity and unity of Sakiland.

He discribe the victory as a testament to the wisdom, strength, and resilience of His Majesty’s reign, which has consistently championed the cause of justice and fairness for the people of Saki.

In a statement released to newsmen by Comrade Sulaiman Olowookere Oloba, the Baale also extend his deepest appreciation to Barrister Prince Abdul-Lateef Olabisi for his exceptional representation and unyielding commitment to defending the rights and heritage of Sakiland.

“His expertise and dedication have not only brought legal clarity to this matter but have also reinforced the enduring legacy of Saki’s sovereignty.”

“This triumph serves as a rallying point for the people of Sakiland, reminding us of the power of unity, resilience, and a shared commitment to preserving our cultural and historical heritage. As we celebrate this monumental victory, we look forward to a future of continued peace, progress, and prosperity for Saki and its people under the reign of His Royal Majesty.”
