As Christians around the world mark the resurrection of Jesus Christ, a pivotal moment in the Christian faith symbolizing hope, rebirth, and divine triumph, Hon. Kareem Tajudeen Abisodun, Member representing Saki West, Saki East and Atisbo Federal Constituency also doubled as the Chairman House Committee on Aviation Technology has extended warm felicitations to all Christian faithful across Oyo State and Nigeria.
In a goodwill message issued through the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Sheu Shittu Maigida to commemorate the Easter celebrations, the lawmaker underscored the spiritual and moral essence of the season, describing it as a time for deep reflection, mutual love, and rededication to shared values that transcend religious boundaries.
Hon. Abisodun, in his statement, emphasized that Easter should serve not only as a sacred religious celebration but also as an opportunity for citizens to reflect on the enduring principles of selflessness, sacrifice, and reconciliation demonstrated by Jesus Christ.
He noted that these virtues are critically needed in today’s Nigeria, where social cohesion and national development must be driven by collective responsibility and faith in the country’s future.
“This holy season reminds us of the extraordinary power of sacrifice, renewal, and hope,” he said. “I urge Christians to continue to draw inspiration from the life and resurrection of Christ, using the occasion to pray fervently for peace, unity, and the sustainable development of Oyo State and Nigeria at large.”

He also called on Nigerians, regardless of religious affiliation, to extend hands of compassion and support to one another, especially during this period of spiritual reflection and national recalibration.
According to him, the message of Easter is one that calls for a deeper sense of responsibility toward fellow citizens, and a renewed commitment to building a just, inclusive, and prosperous society.
“As leaders and as citizens, we must be intentional in promoting harmony, advocating for the common good, and working tirelessly to address the challenges facing our communities. It is only through unity and prayerful determination that we can unlock the full potential of our great state and nation,” he added.
