The Chairman of Saki West LG, Engr Sarafadeen Ahmed Omirinde on Friday congratulated all Muslim Ummah for witnessing this year end of the month of Ramadan.
He prayed that Allah SWT would accept their worship and keep everyone alive to witness many more Ramadan.
Omirinde who is also the Vice Chairman of ALGON in Oyo State urged Nigerians to continue praying for the betterment of the country.
According to him, “there is need for Muslims to abstain from sins which was part of the lessons learnt during the holy month of Ramadan.”
He urged Muslim faithfuls to implement the teaching of Ramadan in daily activities, because the month teaches peace, kindness, discipline and endurance
He however said if all the teachings can be emulated, various challenges of the society will become history.
In addition the Council boss urged the clerics to continue to pray for Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole to guide our newly elected leaders.
“I call on our Muslim brothers and sisters to have this country in prayer as we are about to get a new set of leaders at the federal level and also the second term of our loving governor, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, tagged OMITUNTUN 2.0, who was re-elected to pilot the affairs of our state. “We pray for economic prosperity, improved security, and sustainable development.”
“I am using this medium to congratulate and celebrate our Muslim brothers and sisters on this day. I pray Allah S.W.T accept our worship as act of Ibadah.” he stated.
He therefore urged Muslims to celebrate the Eid-el-Fitri with modesty and all sense of responsibilities.
In the same vein, Omirinde specially sent his warmest regards to Okere of Sakiland, HRM, Oba Dr. Khalid Olabisi Oyedepo III Ilugbemidepo and Okere in council while not forgetting the Chief Imam of Sakiland Sheikh Abdulazeez Jeje Kunmi and other clerics and religious Stakeholders in the Local Government.
