As Muslims across Nigeria are getting ready to mark this year’s Eid-el-Kabir festivities with prayers, sacrifice, and celebration, the federal lawmaker representing Atisbo , Saki East, and Saki West Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Kareem Tajudeen Abisodun, has reaffirmed his deep connection with his constituents through a remarkable display of generosity.
In an act that has drawn widespread commendation across Oyo State and beyond, Rt. Hon. Abisodun donated a live camel to the Chief Imam of Saki, a gesture symbolizing reverence, generosity, and the importance of religious institutions in community life. In addition, he distributed dozens of rams and hundreds of bags of rice to residents of his constituency to support their celebration of Eid-el-Kabir, one of the most sacred festivals in Islam.
The donation, which was confirmed in a statement issued by the lawmaker’s media team and made available to journalists on Tuesday in Saki, underscores his consistent commitment to community development, welfare, and religious harmony.
“This annual tradition of giving back to the community is aimed at bringing relief, joy, and a sense of togetherness to the people during this blessed season,” the statement read.
The camel, traditionally considered a high-value sacrificial animal during Eid-el-Kabir, was presented to the Chief Imam of Saki, a gesture that has not only strengthened religious ties but also demonstrated the lawmaker’s deep-rooted respect for Islamic leadership in his constituency.
