The Social Democratic Party (SDP) Oyo State House of Assembly Candidate for Saki West Local Government, Hon. Saheed Adesokan (Hon. SP), has congratulated Muslim faithful on the celebration of Eid-il-Adha and charged them to obey the commandment of Allah towards the celebration of Eid.
In his message, SP said, “I congratulate all Muslims across the world on the occasion of Eid-il-Adha. May Allah bestow all the blessings accustomed to the festival on all and propel our country to greater heights.”

He furthered that the tenets of Eid-il-Adha are about love and peace, which can be traced to the mode of celebration and teachings attached to Eid rites, and urged the entire populace to learn from it and practice it to foster unity and peace in our society.

“The teaching of Eid is about love, starting from the way the Quran instructed us to carry out charity in this period to family, friends, and neighbors. This shows love is light and an antidote to every problem.”

Mr. Adesokan added that Nigeria at the present moment needs unity like never before and all hands must be on deck to achieve it.

He promised to bring new hope to governance through a desired purpose for inclusive representation and people-centered legislative duty when elected. Hon.SP felicitates with the Chief Imam of Sakiland, Sheik Abdulazeez Areebo Jejekunmi, and the entire Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs on the occasion of Eid and wishes them many more of it.
