The chairman of Saki West Local Government, Hon. Sarafadeen Omirinde has congratulated Islam believers on the celebration of Eid-ul-Adha and enjoined them to express love between themselves and their neighbors, he also made a clarion call to Nigerians to tap the lesson of peace and harmony preaches by this festival to balance the atmosphere of our country affairs.
“All praise belongs to Allah. May His peace and benevolence be showered upon the noble prophet Muhammad (SAW), his household, his companions, and the generality of the Muslim Ummah till the end of time.”
“I’m using this opportunity to congratulate our Muslim brothers and sisters on the celebration of Eid, may Allah please with us and shower his blessings upon us.”
In his Congratulatory message, The Chairman calls on Muslims Ummah to be moderate in this celebration, as today is in commemoration of the endurance of the Father of Faith, Prophet Ibrahim (ASW). Emphasizing that as we celebrate this Eid we should be a feast of self-sacrifice, commitment, and Obedience to Allah, as such Muslims should not transgress the limit prescribed by Allah.
Omirinde equally urge the Muslim faithful and religious Leaders to continuously imbibe the spirit of love, peace, kindness, sacrifice, display of patience, fortitude, tolerance, endurance, patriotism, and a greater willingness to make personal sacrifices for the good of all as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him) and to also use the period to pray for peace, unity, prosperity and the stability of the country, considering the challenges of insecurity we face at the moment.
“I’m using this medium to tell our Islam believers and religious leaders that Islam is a religion of peace and this festival associated with a lot of sacrifices, the events of past by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Prophet Ibrahim made a lot of sacrifices for their followers during their time and as a leader, we have learned that it is a must to uphold the commandments of God on our responsibility to you, we are urging the citizens also to make the sacrifices of peace, love, and harmony to each other too because it is our right to love our neighbors as we do to ourselves “.
“We must unite to tackle insecurity, economic crisis, and dwindling unemployment that is challenging our society.”
He extends his gratitude to Engr. Seyi Makinde for consistent support on infrastructure, economy, and security and urge the citizen to continue praying and supporting this government for better dividends of democracy.
“I salute the courage of our amiable God-Sent Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde for his determination to build a better Oyo through his conservative program, on health, Education, Infrastructural development, Security, engagement of Youths in every sector, Extension of Agricultural development to boost the social economy of the state, I urge the citizens to continue praying for him in order to enjoy more.”
