Engr. Sarafadeen Ahmed Omirinde, the Executive Chairman of Saki West Local Government, extends his heartfelt commiseration to the residents of Oge, Agolabii, Orogun, isokan and Oke ola areas who have been grievously affected by the recent heavy downpour. The torrential rain, which struck late at night, resulted in substantial damage to properties, the loss of livestock, and, regrettably, the loss of one life within the Agolabi community.

The residents of these affected areas have endured significant hardship and loss as a result of this unfortunate natural disaster.
Engr. Omirinde, in recognition of their suffering, wishes to convey his deepest sympathy and support during this difficult time especially to the family of a boy who lost his life at the incident and to everyone whose properties, cattles and other livestocks were washed away.

In response to this distressing situation, Engr. Omirinde has vowed to intensify efforts to secure relief materials from the state government through the State Emergency Agency (SEMA). His commitment to provide essential aids to the flood victims is unwavering, and he is determined to ensure that those affected receive the assistance they urgently need to rebuild their lives.

In the same vein, he warns against blocking of waterways and drainage across the communities to avert environmental disaster. He also warmed the youths to desist from using the situation to engage in illegal sporting activities that can lead to another disaster as the water is not healthy for usage.
