Hon. Niyi Adebisi Donates funds at Oniwaasi’s 10th Anniversary, Preaches Peace, Religious Harmony in Saki

The Oyo State Commissioner for Trade, Industry, Investment and Cooperatives, Hon. Niyi Adebisi, has called for peace, unity and religious harmony among political office holders and residents of Saki, as he attended the 10th anniversary of the Chief Preacher of Saki Central Mosque (Oniwaasi), Sheikh Ibrahim Adebayo.

Hon. Adebisi, while addressing the gathering, emphasized the need for leaders to rise above political differences and work together in the overall interest of the people, noting that peace and tolerance remain essential ingredients for sustainable development.

“Politics should never divide us beyond repair. As leaders, we must embrace peace, mutual respect and religious harmony, because development can only thrive in an atmosphere of unity,” he stated.

In recognition of the spiritual leadership and positive influence of Sheikh Ibrahim Adebayo over the past decade, Hon. Adebisi donated the sum of ₦500,000 to support religious activities and the growth of the mosque.

He commended the Chief Preacher for using his position to promote moral values, peaceful coexistence and understanding among people of different backgrounds in Saki.

The Commissioner was accompanied to the event by the Majority Leader of Saki West Legislative Council, Hon. Salaudeen Kabeer Adebayo; the Supervisory Councillor for Environment, Hon. Ige Mayowa Abiola; and Hon. Moosa Sodiq, among other political associates.

The anniversary celebration featured prayers, goodwill messages and commendations for Sheikh Ibrahim Adebayo’s decade-long service, with speakers describing him as a unifying religious figure whose teachings have contributed significantly to peace and stability in Saki.
