The Honourable representing Saki West, Saki East, and Atisbo Federal Constituency, Hon. Tajudeen Abisodun Kareem Wẹrẹ, has officially honored the late Chief Micheal Koleoso, Babalaje of Saki land, in a poignant statement released ahead of his burial. The burial ceremonies will take place over four days, from October 16 to 19, 2024, marking a significant moment for the Saki community.
This announcement was made by Sheu Shittu Megida, Special Adviser on Media to Hon. Wẹrẹ, and shared with newsmen at the Local Government Headquarters.
Hon. Wẹrẹ emphasized the profound impact of Chief Koleoso on the community, describing him as a father figure, mentor, and a pivotal stakeholder who influenced countless lives.
The detailed burial arrangements will commence with a Commendation Service in Ibadan, followed by the transportation of the body to Saki. A Lying in State will take place at the Koleoso residence, leading to a Wake Keep at Ajegunle Baptist Church, before concluding with the Burial Service.
In his statement, Hon. Wẹrẹ again expressed his deep sorrow over the loss, extending condolences to the family of Chief Koleoso, the Saki community, and relevant authorities.
He highlighted the late chief’s contributions to the development of Saki, Oke Ogun, Oyo State, and Nigeria, urging all stakeholders to collaborate in ensuring a dignified farewell befitting a national dignitary.
“Even in death, we must acknowledge and appreciate his contributions, The transformations we see in our community cannot be discussed without recognizing his efforts.” Hon. Wẹrẹ stated.
He concluded by praying for late Chief Koleoso to rest in perfect peace, expressing hope that his legacies will continue to inspire future generations.
