In a significant development at the House of Representatives, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, has appointed Hon. Kareem Tajudeen Abisodun as the Chairman of the House Committee on Aviation Technology.
The appointment marks a new phase in his legislative career as he transitions from his previous role as Chairman of the House Committee on Tourism to lead a critical sector of Nigeria’s economy.
Hon. Abisodun, who represents Saki West/Saki East/Atisbo Federal Constituency, is widely recognized for his dedication to policy development, infrastructure growth, and economic transformation.
His tenure in the Tourism Committee was marked by efforts to promote Nigeria’s cultural heritage, attract investment in the tourism industry, and advocate for improved infrastructure in key tourist destinations. Now, as the head of the Aviation Technology Committee, Hon. Were is set to drive technological advancements, innovation, and policy reforms to improve the aviation sector.
His new role will involve oversight of aviation infrastructure, safety standards, research in emerging technologies, and collaboration with industry stakeholders to ensure Nigeria’s aviation sector meets international best practices.
In his acceptance speech, Hon. Kareem Tajudeen Abisodun expressed gratitude to Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas and his colleagues for the confidence reposed in him. He reaffirmed his commitment to enhancing Nigeria’s aviation sector, ensuring safer skies, and promoting sustainable technological growth.
