…Urges Unity, Discipline and Commitment to Party Growth
The Member representing Saki West, Saki East and ATISBO Federal Constituency, Hon. Kareem Tajudeen Abisodun Were, has congratulated the newly elected executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, describing their emergence as a new chapter for the party’s growth and reorganization.
In a congratulatory message released on Tuesday, Hon. Were expressed confidence in the capacity, experience and political depth of the new leadership to reposition the party ahead of future political engagements in the state.
He particularly congratulated H.E. Moses Alake on his emergence as State Chairman, alongside Dr. Taofeek Lamidi as Deputy Chairman, and Barr. Fatai Adesina as State Secretary, describing their election as a reflection of the trust reposed in them by party stakeholders.
Hon. Were also extended goodwill messages to other members of the State Working Committee, including Hon. Lukman Owonikoko (Assistant Secretary); Dr. Joshua Oyebamiji (Oyo Central Senatorial Chairman); Hon. Mojeed Delesolu (Oyo South Senatorial Chairman); and Hon. Tunde Oloyede (Oyo North Senatorial Chairman).
Others congratulated include Barr. Aborisade Sunday (Legal Adviser), Hon. Saheed Adeagbo (Assistant Legal Adviser), Hon. Lateef Ajiboye (Treasurer), Hon. Saliu Dauda Adisa (Assistant Treasurer), Hon. Akanbi Tunde (Financial Secretary), Hon. Wale Adebayo (Assistant Financial Secretary), Hon. Remi Adepoju (Organising Secretary) and Chief Jide Leke (Assistant Organising Secretary).
Also acknowledged were Hon. Olawale Sadare (Publicity Secretary), Fafunmi Mathew (Assistant Publicity Secretary), Kamaldeen Nageri (Assistant Welfare Secretary), Mrs. Tinuade Adigun (Auditor), Hon. Christopher Idowu (Assistant Auditor), Mrs. Felicia Opatunde (Women Leader), Hon. Fatima Hassan (Deputy Women Leader), Hon. Glory Olalekan (Youth Leader) and Hon. Sayo Fatoki (Assistant Youth Leader).
The lawmaker further congratulated the senatorial and special representatives, including Jimoh Osundare (Physically Challenged Representative); Olalekan Olowe (Oyo South Senatorial Youth Leader); Imran Ayinde Olona (Oyo North Senatorial Youth Leader); Mrs. Oyebode Yetunde (Oyo North Senatorial Women Leader); Mrs. Adefunke Adeoye (Oyo Central Senatorial Women Leader); and Mrs. Mojibade Adetona (Oyo South Senatorial Women Leader), as well as the Ex-Officio members — Akanmu Adebowale, Ejalonibu Fatai Aremu, Asimiyu Kolawole, and Odeyemi Simon Oladoyinbo.
Hon. Were urged the new executives to prioritise unity, internal democracy and inclusiveness, noting that the strength of the APC in Oyo State depends on collective effort and discipline at all levels.
“Your emergence comes with great responsibility. I urge you to lead with fairness, openness and commitment to the ideals of our party, while working tirelessly to strengthen APC structures across the state,” he said.
He reaffirmed his readiness to work with the new leadership in advancing the fortunes of the party and promoting the Renewed Hope Agenda at both state and national levels, wishing all the executives a successful and impactful tenure.
