Hon. Tajudeen Abisodun Wẹ́rẹ́, the member representing Atisbo/Saki East/Saki West Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has firmly dissociated himself from a publication by MouthpieceNGR alleging political tension between him and some leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State.
The report titled “Oyo 2027: Concerns Over Senator Teslim Folarin’s Moves Against Lawmakers” mentioned Hon. Were among lawmakers allegedly involved in internal disagreements within the party.
Reacting to the story, Hon. Wẹ́rẹ́ described the report as false, misleading, and poorly researched, noting that the writer failed to verify basic facts before publishing the story.
He specifically pointed out that the report wrongly attributed him to a different constituency, stressing that he proudly represents the people of Atisbo, Saki East and Saki West Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
According to his S.A. on Media, Sheu Shittu Maigida, he dismissed insinuations of political friction, stating clearly that he maintains a good relationship with Senator Teslim Folarin, built on mutual respect and a shared commitment to the progress of the APC in Oyo State.
According to him, leaders and stakeholders within the party are focused on strengthening unity, consolidating the party structure and working together to ensure APC wins elections at all levels — from the federal to the state — in future electoral contests.
He emphasized that the party’s priority at this time is cooperation and collective progress, not the kind of division suggested in the report.
Hon. Wẹ́rẹ́ therefore urged party members, supporters and the general public to disregard the publication, describing it as speculative and capable of creating unnecessary misunderstanding within the party.
The lawmaker reaffirmed his commitment to party unity, grassroots development and effective representation of the people of Atisbo, Saki East and Saki West Federal Constituency.
He also called on media organizations to uphold professionalism and verify information from relevant sources before publishing politically sensitive reports.
