I’M COMMITTED TO SECURING LIVES, PROPERTY – OMIRINDE.

The Executive chairman of Saki West Local Government , Hon. Sarafadeen Omirinde has promised to remain committed to securing lives and property of the people under his watch as security is the priority of his administration.


He disclosed this during the security summit of Oke-Ogun zone II, organised by the House committee on Security and Strategy of Oyo State House of Assembly, led by Hon A.O Obadara, held at Saki city Hall on Monday, where security operatives and key stakeholders in the zone met to deliberate on rising security challenges in the state and ways to curb it.


Omirinde who is also the Vice Chairman of ALGON said, ” We are committed, keenly, to maximum protection of lives and property in our local Government. We possess sufficient understanding to appreciate that there can be no development without peace achievable through a sustainable programme of securing lives and property.”


He assured the people that security architecture put in place by the Governor of the state, Engr. Seyi Makinde is global standard that would secure the lives and property of the people.


“It is, therefore, expedient that we put in place the necessary security architecture that will enhance all-round development of the State and protect the citizens and investors operating in our State’.


He charged the residents to be security conscious and join hands with authorities in charge in order to combat both internal and external dissidents.


In his opening remarks, Hon Obadara enjoined Stakeholders to be more conscious of the security and assured them of the readiness of the state government to hold the bull by the horn, because the security of lives and property is paramount to the state government.


While responding on behalf of other local government chairmen in the zone, the Executive Chairman of ATISBO LG, Hon Adeagbo Fasasi Ademola, said that provision of adequate security is one of the cardinal agenda of Governor Seyi Makinde’s led administration, he said that all the local governments in the state were in support of state government efforts to provide a secured environment in that direction.


In his goodwill message, Brig Gen Togun A. K (rtd) Chairman, Oyo State Security Network Agency and Amotekun Corps said that everybody should be vigilant of its domain against intruders who were ready to breach the security network of the State.
Present at the submit were Chairmen of Saki East, Oorelope, Olorunsogo and Irepo local governments, Hon Rahmat Mosunmade Adeniran, Hon Raheem Akeem Adepoju, Hon Akanni Julianah Oluwakemi and Hon Sulaiman Adeniran respectively.
Others were the Heads of Local Government Administration from the zone, security operatives, Obas and Chiefs, other stakeholders amongst others.
