In line with the Nigerian Army Forecast of Events 2022, the Headquarters 2 Division and its affiliated formations and units will conduct the 2022 Annual Range Classification Exercise from Monday, the 1st of August, 2022 till Friday, the 5th at the Major General O.F. Azinta Shooting Range, Adekunle Fasuyi Cantonment, Ojoo, Ibadan.
The aim of the exercise is to enhance the practicalisation of weapons handing lessons already taught.
This was made known via a statement signed by the Acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, 2 Division, Lt. Col. Charles Ekeocha.
The statement further read that the exercise would be an assessment of marksmanship skills and also to test and refresh the weapons handing proficiency of troops.
Communities in and around Adekunle Fajuyi Cantonment are urged not to panic on hearing the sound of gunshots during this period.
Those farming within the vicinity are also advised to avoid the Range Area throughout the period.
