The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially revised the commencement date for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), adjusting the earlier schedule to accommodate operational exigencies involving the Board and its strategic partner agencies.
In a statement released by the Board’s Public Communication Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, JAMB announced that the nationwide examination will now begin on Thursday, April 24, 2025, instead of the previously scheduled date of Friday, April 25, 2025.
According to the statement, “This minor but crucial adjustment is designed to ensure seamless coordination of logistics and further strengthen the collaborative efforts between JAMB and relevant stakeholders involved in the administration of the examination.”
In line with the updated timeline, the Board has also announced the availability of the 2025 UTME Examination Notification Slips, which candidates are required to print as they contain essential details including the date, venue, and time of their examinations.
JAMB strongly encourages candidates to begin printing their slips starting from Saturday, April 19, 2025, in order to allow ample time to familiarize themselves with their designated examination centres and make appropriate travel or logistical arrangements ahead of the test.
“Candidates are advised to print their Examination Notification Slips at least one day prior to their examination date to confirm their details and avoid last-minute complications,” the statement emphasized.
The Board also reiterated that no candidate will be assigned a centre outside the examination town they selected during registration. This measure, JAMB noted, is intended to minimize travel burdens and enhance accessibility for all candidates.

- Enter your JAMB registration number.
- Click on “Print Examination Slip” to download or print the document.
