The incumbent Vice Chairman of Saki West Local Government, Hon. Gbenga Akinola Olaleye has been declares winner of the 2024 chairmanship primary elections.
This was contained in a statement made available to Newsmen on Friday at the Secretariat.
Hon. Gbenga Akinola who defeated his co-contestants, Hon. Sarafadeen Omirinde with 110 votes.
In his acceptance speech shortly after the results were declared, Hon. Akinola thanked God almighty for his victory and saluted the courage of the Party’s stakeholders for standing by him in the process.
“I appreciates the Almighty God for the privilege given to him to serve the good people of Saki and at the sametime aknowledged the sportsmanship from the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde.”
“The victory is for all as no Victor, no vanquished. He pledged to work with other aspirants to make the council great for all and unify all interests group within the party.”
“I appreciates Governor Seyi Makinde, the Executive Governor of Oyo State for the confidence reposed in him and promised not to let him down.”
Hon. Gbenga Akinola therfore congratulates other emerged chairmanship candidates from other local government in Oyo state.
He also charge them to be of good ambassador for the party, their local government and Oyo state at large.
