Reactions have trailed the release of controversial cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, known as Bobrisky, from the Kirikiri Correctional Centre in Lagos State.
The social media celebrity was released on Monday morning after serving six months imprisonment.
In a video released on X, Bobrisky was seen greeting his fans, who came to give him a welcoming reception.
Recall that Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court in Lagos jailed Bobrisky for Naira abuse.
Justice Awogboro, who sentenced the cross-dresser without an option of a fine, said his sentence would serve as a lesson for others abusing the Naira.
Speaking with journalists shortly after his release, Bobrisky advised Nigerians to obey the laws of the country and respect the Naira.
The crossdresser warned Nigerians against abusing the Naira in order not to end up in prison, adding that the country’s currency should be respected at all times.
