In a recent development within the ranks of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Saki West, a decision has been made to disassociate the party from the appointment of Alhaji Rahman Aloyinlapa as a Supervisory Councilor, the appointment which was given by the governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde.

Alhaji Rahman Aloyinlapa, who was notably the Deputy Governor aspirant alongside Honorable Micheal Lana during the 2023 General Election, found himself at the center of controversy following this recent appointment.
The move to disassociate from his appointment was clarified by Honorable Titilope Alabi, the Chairman of SDP in Saki West, urging the public to recognize that this decision does not reflect the party’s position.
Speaking further on the matter, Honorable Adebayo Saheed Adesokan emphasized the need for unity within the party and underscored that such decisions are crucial to maintaining the integrity and values of SDP in Saki West.
He also stressed that the SDP is a strong party which the appointment belittle a whole Deputy aspirant to the post of supervisory Councilor.
The decision was reached during a meeting held at the residence of Baba Raheem Durojaye, a prominent party stakeholder in Saki West.
The meeting, attended by SDP elders, stakeholders, and party executives, reiterated that Honorable Mulikat Adeola remains the party leader in Oyo State.
