…Pledges Equity, Experience, and Continued Development Across Oyo North Senatorial District
The Honourable Member representing Saki West, Saki East, and Atisbo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Kareem Tajudeen Abisodun, has formally declared his intention to contest for the Oyo North Senatorial seat come 2027.

The declaration was made during his consultative visit to Oke Ogun Zone 1 stakeholders in Iseyin, where political leaders, party stalwarts, and community stakeholders converged to deliberate on the future of the zone and the need for inclusive representation.
In his address, Hon. Abisodun underscored the importance of equity, justice, and regional balance in the political structure of Oyo North, stressing that development must transcend local boundaries to reach all parts of the senatorial district. He emphasized that his ambition was driven not by personal interest but by the collective desire to sustain progress and unity across the 13 local government areas of Oyo North.

“Oyo North deserves a leadership that will continue to bridge the gaps between our zones and sustain the legacy of impactful representation. I am committed to ensuring that every region, from Oke Ogun to Ogbomoso, benefits equitably from the dividends of democracy,” Abisodun stated.
The lawmaker used the occasion to commend Senator Abdulfatai Buhari, the current Senator representing Oyo North, for his visible achievements and unwavering dedication to the development of the district. According to Abisodun, Senator Buhari’s selfless service and infrastructural strides have set a remarkable standard of governance, one which he intends to build upon if given the mandate in 2027.
“Senator Buhari has been a model of visionary leadership. His tenure has proven that representation can be both people-oriented and development-driven. To sustain that momentum, we must entrust the mandate to someone with proven experience, legislative competence, and commitment to service,” he added.

In his remarks, Elder Alhaji Abu Gbadamosi, one of the respected senatorial leaders in Oke Ogun, applauded Hon. Abisodun’s courage for openly declaring his senatorial ambition. He commended his track record of empowerment, constituency projects, and accessibility, while advising him to consolidate his efforts by further strengthening the All Progressives Congress (APC) structure across the senatorial district.

“Honourable Abisodun has demonstrated commendable leadership and compassion for his people. His decision to step forward for the senatorial position shows courage and vision. However, to achieve success, he must continue to unify the party and deepen grassroots mobilization,” Elder Gbadamosi noted.

Other stakeholders, including Elder Adesokan, Dr. Rev. Olayande, Pa. Ojekunle Jimoh, Pa. G. O. Ojedokun, Pa. Omoyele, Alh. Kareem Jimoh (Baba Salamalekun), Hon. Dauda Wasiu Asusu (former Oyo State Commissioner for Works), and Mrs. Adegoke Foyeke Seun, expressed their admiration for Hon. Abisodun’s representation at the federal level. They lauded his numerous empowerment initiatives and infrastructural interventions, urging him to extend his developmental efforts to other regions within Oyo North to further solidify his acceptance across the senatorial district.
