Hon. Kareem Tajudeen Abisodun, the federal lawmaker representing Saki West, Saki East, and ATISBO Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, has reaffirmed his commitment to grassroots empowerment by distributing 100 grinding machines to women in his constituency.
The initiative, which took place in Saki on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, was designed to address the economic challenges confronting women and to enhance their productivity in small-scale trade and food processing. The program was organized in partnership with the Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology, Moor Plantation, Ibadan.
Hon. Kareem Tajudeen Abisodun who was represented by Alhaji Sabitu Olofa, he emphasized that the empowerment was not a one-off intervention but part of a broader agenda to uplift vulnerable groups.
“It is imperative that we stand together as a community, extending a helping hand to those facing hardship. I urge every beneficiary to make judicious use of these grinding machines to improve their livelihoods,” he stated.
Abisodun also assured constituents that more empowerment initiatives would follow, stressing that his political mission remains anchored on improving the quality of life for the people of Oke-Ogun.
The gesture received commendation from party leaders across the constituency. Hon. Tafa Muftau, APC Chairman of ATISBO LGA, praised the lawmaker’s consistency in delivering impactful projects, describing him as “a leader whose actions speak louder than promises.”
In a significant political development at the event, Alhaji Kareem Jimoh publicly endorsed Hon. Abisodun for the Oyo North Senatorial seat ahead of the 2027 elections. Describing him as “tested and trusted,” Jimoh highlighted Abisodun’s political experience, grassroots support, and resourcefulness as qualities that position him as the most suitable candidate to represent the Oke-Ogun area in the Senate.
The event attracted several notable dignitaries, including Alhaji Tajudeen Okunlola (APC Chairman, Saki West LGA), Okegbemi Ojekalu (APC Leader, Saki East LGA), Alhaji Sanusi Rafiu, Adeleke Wahab, Alhaji Waheed Bamimore (ATISBO ALGON Chairman), and Alhaji Azeez Yinusa, among others.
Beneficiaries, speaking on behalf of the women, expressed profound gratitude, noting that the initiative would relieve them of economic strain and boost their family income.
