Hon. Kareem Tajudeen Abiodun, the Honourable Member representing Saki West, Saki East and Atisbo Federal Constituency, on Saturday added political weight, cultural depth and renewed hope to Kishi Day 2026, as he led the Funfunloogun political movement to the grand celebration, further elevating the historic significance of the annual event.

The federal lawmaker’s presence was widely hailed by traditional rulers, community leaders, youths and indigenes of Kishi as a strong affirmation of his commitment to grassroots engagement and cultural preservation.

Kishi Day, renowned for showcasing the rich traditions, resilience and unity of the people, was transformed into a convergence of culture and governance, with Hon. Abiodun’s participation symbolising the vital link between effective representation and community identity.

In a remarkable demonstration of purposeful leadership and support for community development, Hon. Abiodun announced a donation of ₦5 million in support of the 2026 edition of the celebration. He further presented an additional ₦1 million on behalf of Hon. James Faleke, underscoring a shared vision among progressive leaders to invest in people-oriented initiatives that promote unity, cultural continuity and socio-economic advancement.

Speaking at the event, Hon. He commended the organising committee and the traditional institution for sustaining the festival as a unifying force across generations.
