The House of Representatives candidate of Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Old Ifedapo, Hon. Bashiru lawal has congratulated Muslim faithfuls on the occasion of prophet Muhammad birth known as Maoulud Nabiy.
He called on them to use the momentum to pray for the nation against all sort of challenges facing her and promote unity like the prophet did during his lifetime.
According to the statement released which reads in part,
“He wish to congratulate Muslim community all over the world on the occasion of maolud Nabiy anniversary which translates to the birthday of Holy Prophet Mohammed in accordance with Islamic calendar.”
“This year celebration is coming at a very trying time of our nationhood. I therefore urge all Muslim faithful to use the opportunity to pray for peace and unity to return to our fatherland. There cannot be meaningful development in an atmosphere of chaos, violence and political crisis. We need peace for job to be created, both local and foreign investors would be encouraged and economy will improve for overall development of our country.”
He urged people to desist from violence in this election period and promote peace even in every action they take.
He urged all and sundry to support his ambition and build the modern Ifedapo for all like he did when served as Chairman of Saki West Local Government.
