The Saki Muslim Community Youth Wing has expressed jubilant support for the recent provisional accreditation of seven courses at the College of Nursing Sciences, Muslim Medical Foundation Saki. The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) granted the approval, marking a significant milestone for the institution.
The accredited programs include General Nursing, Basic Midwifery, Post Basic Nursing, Post Basic Midwifery, Public Health Nursing, Community Health, and Community Midwifery. This development is seen as a major achievement for the College and a testament to the commitment of the Saki Muslim community to advancing healthcare education.
In a statement issued by Abdulrosheed Okiki, Protem Chairman, and Sodiq Aderogba, Protem Secretary of the Saki Muslim Youth Wing, the community’s enthusiasm was evident.
The statement praised the efforts of the League of Imams and Alfas, led by Chief Imam Shaykh AbdulAzeez Jeje, as well as the leadership of Alh. Sulaiman Lawal-Oroyinyin of the Saki Muslim Community, and Alh. Moshood Akinwumi, Aare Musulumi of Saki, along with other stakeholders who contributed generously to the College’s development.
“We are incredibly excited about the successful accreditation of courses at the College of Nursing Sciences, Muslim Medical Foundation, Saki,” the statement read. “This achievement reflects the massive investments and contributions of all stakeholders towards enhancing our common heritage. It is a clear indication that our collective efforts are bearing fruit.”
The statement also highlighted the progress the College has made in terms of infrastructure, laboratory equipment, and its core mission of training nurses and midwives.
The Saki Muslim Community Youth Wing acknowledged the positive feedback from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) as a reflection of the dedication of the College’s management and staff.
The College of Nursing Sciences, which upgraded from the former School of Basic Midwifery at Muslim Hospital Saki in 2023, now offers a broader range of nursing and midwifery programs in response to new regulations by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
The Youth Wing encouraged continued excellence and dedication from all involved to sustain the institution’s academic standards.
