In a bid to shape the future of Nigeria, the Nigeria Youth Futures Fund (NYFF) and LEAP Africa convened a two-day workshop at the picturesque Zuma Rock Resort. The event brought together a dynamic group of young creatives, media professionals, and influencers to contribute to the ambitious “The Nigeria We Want” project.
Throughout the workshop, participants engaged in a series of activities designed to envision Nigeria’s future and craft a youth-driven agenda for the nation’s governance. The agenda included a scenario game board exercise, creativity competition, and pitching sessions aimed at generating impactful ideas for achieving a prosperous and well-governed Nigeria by 2050.
Notable attendees included renowned stand-up comedian Otolorin Kehinde Peter (Kenny Blaq), acclaimed actors Samuel Ajibola (Spiff) and Umar Gombe, voice-over actress and presenter Meenah Celeb, and prominent social media content creator Peter Akah, among others. Their involvement highlighted the cross-sectional collaboration of the entertainment industry with young visionaries focused on national development.
The workshop’s goals centered on advancing good governance, fostering technological innovation, promoting sustainable development, and investing in human capital. Participants explored creative solutions to Nigeria’s fundamental challenges and contributed ideas that could drive progress in technology, infrastructure, and overall societal well-being.
