The Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives in Oyo State, Hon. Niyi Adebisi, has extended warm New Year felicitations to the people of the state, describing the dawn of the New Year as a renewed opportunity for collective progress, resilience and shared prosperity.
In a goodwill message released to mark the beginning of the year, Hon. Adebisi expressed profound appreciation to the people of Oyo State for their unwavering support, patience and cooperation with the present administration.
He noted that despite economic challenges and global uncertainties experienced in the outgoing year, the state has continued to record steady progress in commerce, industrial development and cooperative empowerment through deliberate and people-centred policies.
The Commissioner reaffirmed the commitment of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives to deepening economic reforms that stimulate investment, promote small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs), strengthen cooperative societies and create sustainable employment opportunities for residents across the state.
According to him, the New Year will witness intensified efforts at enhancing the ease of doing business, expanding access to credit for entrepreneurs and positioning Oyo State as a preferred destination for local and foreign investors.
Hon. Adebisi commended the visionary leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde, describing his inclusive governance style and economic blueprint as instrumental to the gains recorded in industrial growth, market reforms and cooperative development.
He assured stakeholders, traders, artisans, industrialists and cooperative members that the ministry would continue to work in synergy with relevant agencies to ensure that economic policies translate into tangible benefits at the grassroots.
He further called on residents to remain united, law-abiding and proactive in contributing to the state’s economic advancement, stressing that sustainable development is a shared responsibility between government and the people. The Commissioner emphasized the importance of innovation, discipline and collaboration in driving commerce and industry in the New Year.
Hon. Adebisi concluded by praying for peace, good health and increased prosperity for all residents of Oyo State, expressing optimism that the New Year would usher in greater economic stability, business expansion and improved livelihoods for the people.
He wished the entire people of Oyo State a prosperous and fulfilling New Year, assuring them of the ministry’s unwavering dedication to policies and programmes that will enhance economic growth and social well-being.
