The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Saki West Chapter, has paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of Asabari Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Ismail Ajewumi.
Hon. Ajewumi, who also serves as the Secretary of Saki West Local Government, received the NULGE delegation led by its Chairman, Comrade Ibrahim Ayinde Ajuwon, alongside members of the union’s executive council.
Speaking during the visit, Hon. Ajewumi described the relationship between NULGE and local government leadership as one built on unity and shared purpose.
“We are all the same, one big family. I thank you for honouring me. I am part of the Aluta family of NULGE and I will continue to support you,” he said, noting that his association with the union dates back to 2009.
In his remarks, Comrade Ajuwon congratulated Hon. Ajewumi on his appointment and assured him of the union’s support. He also highlighted the EndWell programme, explaining that the initiative is already yielding results in Saki West.
According to him, the programme has provided post-service benefits to retired members, citing instances where beneficiaries received financial support after leaving office. He further disclosed that NULGE has acquired 60 plots of land to develop projects such as a NULGE warehouse and an estate scheme aimed at improving staff welfare during service and after retirement.
The NULGE Chairman used the opportunity to invite the Asabari LCDA Chairman to key into the EndWell programme and also announced that NULGE Day would be celebrated on March 25.
Responding, Hon. Ajewumi thanked the union for the visit and expressed appreciation for their initiatives, wishing the leadership success in its programmes and future engagements.
