The Deputy Governor aspirant of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Hon. Okunola David, has clarified the rumors spreading across the town that the Okere of Sakiland, Oba Khalid Olabisi Ilugbemidepo, will be removed if Sen. Teslim Kolawole Folarin is elected as Governor of the state and substantiated the overwhelming support of the monarch to the moving train of the party to the seat of power.
Okunlola made this call during the press conference by the Social Democratic Party (SDP) to support the candidature of Hon. Teslim Folarin Kolawole as the next governor of Oyo State.
He said that the Okere of Saki and the other traditional rulers in Oke-Ogun are supporting the candidature of Teslim Folarin to become the new governor of the state, and they are giving needed support to the party to win the election in the coming election.
He urged the public to desist from the campaign of calumny by the opposition that the APC government will torment the traditional rulers in the region, and he stressed that the party is accommodating and has great respect for traditional authority, which they will continue to do.
He added that Kabiyesi is a father who has been fronting the development of Oke-Ogun, and he will not work against his town, which APC has been magnanimous enough to favor in her government by choosing the deputy governor from the town.
