The Chairman Governing Council of The Oke Ogun Polytechnic, Saki, Barr. Sarafadeen Lateef Onijo, has commended the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for renaming the institution after Chief Michael Adeniyi Koleosho.
Onijo praised the governor’s decision to immortalize Koleosho while he is still alive, noting that this is a rare gesture by any government.
He stated that governments often celebrate individuals after their death but Governor Makinde has chosen to honor Koleosho while he is still alive, which is a “square peg in a square hole.”
Onijo expressed his appreciation to Governor Makinde for this act of magnanimity and for recognizing the contributions of the Babalaje of Saki.
He equally Urged the staff of The Oke Ogun Polytechnic, Saki to remain calm following their three-day warning strike, assuring them that their agitations has been heard and that the governor is a listening leader who will resolve the lingering issues at hand.
