As someone privileged to serve closely with Hon. Kareem Tajudeen Abisodun, I have witnessed firsthand the power of purposeful leadership, driven not by self-interest but by an unshakable commitment to uplift an entire constituency. In less than two years into his current term, Hon. Abisodun has exemplified what it means to lead with clarity, compassion, and measurable impact across all sectors of governance.

Sworn into the 10th National Assembly on June 13, 2023, his return to the Green Chamber was guided by a singular motivation: service. Not political posturing. Not the pursuit of accolades. Just service. And despite lingering skepticism from some quarters due to past perceptions, Hon. Abisodun has proven beyond doubt that he is not only capable but also deeply invested in transforming lives across Saki West, Saki East, and Atisbo Federal Constituency.

It is no secret that youth unemployment remains one of Nigeria’s most pressing socioeconomic challenges. Yet Hon. Abisodun has not only acknowledged this reality, he has acted. Through targeted partnerships and strategic positioning, he has facilitated employment for over 20 constituents in federal agencies such as the Police, NSCDC, Army, FRSC, FIRS, FAAN, ITF, NYSC, FCE Oyo and more. Over 50 individuals have already secured gainful employment, with many others in the pipeline.

These achievements are no accident. They are the result of a legislator who leverages his role, including his chairmanship of the House Committee on Aviation Technology, to open doors and create sustainable opportunities.
Understanding that education remains the foundation of any progressive society, Hon. Abisodun has led from the front in addressing infrastructure deficits in our schools. He has championed the construction of a two-block classroom in Tede and a six-block facility in Ago-Are, alongside scholarship programs for tertiary students. These interventions are not just projects, they are investments in human capital.

His unwavering investment in education proceed with over 200 students receiving free WAEC registration and more than 5,000 past question booklets distributed, Hon. Abisodun is ensuring that the future of our youth is not hindered by financial constraints. His actions continue to blend compassion with strategic foresight—laying a strong foundation for sustainable development in Old Ifedapo.
Complementing this educational push are road projects like Markaz Road and the Ilesha-Ibaruba route, as well as motorized boreholes that are making clean water accessible to communities long neglected. These are tangible improvements, not empty promises.

Hon. Kareem Tajudeen Abisodun continues to demonstrate that leadership is not about occupying a seat, but about touching lives where it matters most. His recent distribution of fertilizer, agrochemicals, and farming tools to local farmers is a testament to his commitment to agricultural development and food security in Old Ifedapo. By directly supporting the backbone of our economy—farmers—he is empowering communities to thrive.

Furthermore, Hon. Abisodun’s donation of a brand-new car to community leaders and motorcycles to all APC Ward Chairmen reflects his deep respect for grassroots leadership and party structure. These tools will undoubtedly enhance mobility and communication across the constituency.

What sets Hon. Abisodun apart is not just what he builds but how he connects. In a move unprecedented in our constituency’s history, he returns home at least twice every month. This is not a performance; it is proof of his commitment to listen, understand, and act on the concerns of the people he represents.
In appreciation of the youth and their potential, Hon. Kareem Tajudeen Abisodun facilitated a football competition aimed at discovering and nurturing local talents—an initiative designed not only to promote sports development but also to build a pathway for young athletes to thrive in the future.

Addressing the region’s persistent electricity problems, Hon. Abisodun facilitated the installation of a transformer in the Albarka-Hasbunallah-Koba axis, with more interventions planned in Abojupon, Orogun, and Isale-Oke. These are critical steps toward energy stability, economic activity, and better quality of life.
Hon. Abisodun has proven himself a formidable legislator. From sponsoring the bill for the creation of Oke-Ogun State with Saki as its capital to championing the Federal Medical Centre Bill, now awaiting presidential assent, his legislative contributions promise transformative changes not only for our constituency but for the broader region.
Whether through skill acquisition, humanitarian support, or empowerment schemes, Hon. Abisodun has consistently placed people at the center of his work. His numerous interventions are equipping individuals with the tools to become self-reliant, productive members of society.
What Hon. Kareem Tajudeen Abisodun has achieved in under two years is a testament to what is possible when leadership is driven by integrity, empathy, and action. He has redefined what it means to represent a people, not through slogans or spectacle, but through real, measurable progress.
As his Special Adviser on Media, I can confidently affirm that the future is bright for the people of Old Ifedapo. And with continued support, even greater milestones lie ahead.
