Oyo Guber Aspirant, Barr. Akeem Agbaje, Pledges Commitment to Igbeti’s Development

As the people of Igbeti gathered to celebrate the one-year reign of Onigbeti, Oba Bashir Olalekan Abioye (Ilufemiloye II), notable personalities across Oyo State graced the occasion, including a representative of Hon. Barr. Akeem Adedeji Agbaje, a frontline aspirant for the 2027 Oyo State governorship election.

Barr. Agbaje, who was represented by ace presenter, Yusuf Ayedun, extended his heartfelt congratulations to the monarch on his successful one-year reign, lauding his efforts in fostering peace, progress, and economic growth in Igbeti. He described Oba Abioye’s leadership as a beacon of hope for the town and assured the people of his unwavering support for the community’s development.

In his goodwill message, Barr. Akeem Agbaje reaffirmed his commitment to the advancement of Igbeti, emphasizing that his vision for Oyo State includes transforming rural economies, enhancing infrastructure, and supporting traditional institutions to drive grassroots development.

“The role of traditional institutions in community development cannot be overstated. I congratulate His Royal Majesty, Oba Bashir Olalekan Abioye, on this milestone, and I assure the people of Igbeti that I will remain committed to initiatives that will bring progress, economic growth, and infrastructural development to this historic town,” Agbaje stated through his representative.

The statement was met with applause from dignitaries and residents present at the event, who acknowledged the aspirant’s interest in the welfare of Igbeti and Oke-Ogun at large.

The celebration, held at the Onigbeti Palace, was attended by Hon. Prince Olaide Lateef Mohammed, Alhaji Ibrahim Dende Egungbohun (IBD Dende), Barr. Ahmed Raji (SAN), and traditional rulers including the Okere of Saki, Oba Khalid Olabisi Oyedepo II, and the Iba of Kisi, Oba Mashood Aweda Lawal Arowoduye II.
