The Oyo State Primary Health Care Board (OYSPHCB) has initiated a crucial recruitment exercise, featuring a two-day Computer-Based Examination for candidates seeking various positions within the organization.
The examination began today at the University of Ibadan Distance Learning Center, Ajibode, Ibadan.
Dr. Oluwaserimi Ajetunmobi, the Commissioner for Health, monitored the exercise and highlighted its significance.
According to Dr. Ajetunmobi, the recruitment drive is designed to address the critical human resource gaps within the primary health sector, which has been facing a shortage of qualified personnel.
The Commissioner revealed that the recruitment exercise has attracted a substantial number of applicants, with 16,000 individuals vying for the available positions.
This large turnout underscores the high level of interest in contributing to the enhancement of primary health care services in the state.
Dr. Ajetunmobi emphasized that the successful completion of this recruitment process is expected to strengthen the primary health care system in Oyo State, ultimately improving health services and outcomes for the population.
