The Oyo State Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (OYRUWASSA) has commenced the drilling of borehole for rural dwellers in the state.
Following the commissioning of drilling Rig purchased by Gov. Seyi Makinde, the body saddled with the responsibility of providing water and maintenance of sanitation in the state OYRUWASSA has risen up to the task accorded to them by drilling of 3 boreholes at Awe Farm area of Oyo town in Oyo state today.
The Chairman of OYRUWASSA, Engr. Najeem Omirinde said the commencement of the exercise was part of objective of the sector to eradicate water shortage in the state and improve the livelihood of the people especially at grassroots level.
He furthered, that the Three boreholes drilled today brought a positive result with high yield of water and promised to extend the service to other parts of the state.
He commend the effort of Engr. Seyi Makinde for fulfilling all his campaign promises to extend the dividend of democracy to all and sundry in the state.
