The Executive Chairman of the Oyo State Pensions Board, Hon. Adekunle Tunji Rafiu, has called on members and leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Saki West Local Government to remain steadfast, united, and committed to the ideals of the party and the visionary leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde.

Hon. Rafiu made this appeal during a gathering of PDP leaders, stakeholders, and supporters in Saki, where he reaffirmed his loyalty to the governor and emphasized the importance of unity in sustaining the party’s dominance and advancing development in Oyo State.

Addressing the gathering, he expressed profound appreciation for the solidarity and dedication shown by party members despite the challenges and political distractions confronting them.

“My dear fellow PDP members, leaders, party executives, supporters, and friends, I am honored today to attend this gathering of like-minded individuals who are committed to the ideals of our great party, PDP,” Hon. Rafiu said.

“We have come together to demonstrate our unity and solidarity and to reaffirm our commitment to our principal, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, and to the people of Saki West Local Government.”
He acknowledged that the party had faced criticisms, propaganda, and attempts at division, but maintained that its members had remained resilient and undeterred.

“We have faced challenges and criticisms, but we have not been deterred. We have been vilified and propagandized, but we have not been defeated. Today, we stand together, united in our determination to overcome these challenges and to emerge stronger and more united than ever.”

Hon. Rafiu urged members to set aside personal differences and work collectively toward building a prosperous and progressive Saki West, stressing that internal cohesion remains vital for the party’s continued success.

“Let us resolve to put aside our differences and work towards a common goal of building a better Saki West Local Government for all,” he charged. “Let us show the world that PDP is a party of unity, solidarity, and progress. Together, we can achieve great things.”

In his remarks, Hon. Rafiu cautioned party faithful to remain vigilant and guard against the influence of political opportunists and individuals whose allegiance is driven by financial inducement rather than loyalty to the party’s philosophy and the people’s welfare.

“Let us be cautious of those who would seek to divide us. Let us beware of political jobbers, money mongers, and cash-and-carry politicians who are only interested in furthering their own interests. Let us not be swayed by empty promises or bribes,” he warned.

He concluded his speech with a message of hope and resilience, urging members to continue working in harmony for the collective good of the party and the people.

“Let us stand together, united and strong, and we will overcome any obstacle that comes our way. May God bless PDP and Saki West Local Government.”
