Hon. Salaudeen Kabeer Adebayo, the Majority Leader of the Saki West Legislative Council, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful in Saki West Local Government and across Oyo State as they observe the holy month of Ramadan, urging sustained prayers for unity, peace, and accelerated development in the state.
In a goodwill message released to commemorate the sacred season, Hon. Adebayo described Ramadan as a profound period of spiritual renewal, self-discipline, compassion, and reflection for adherents of Islam. He emphasized that beyond abstinence from food and drink, the holy month embodies the core values of sacrifice, generosity, and unwavering faith in Almighty Allah.
“As the crescent moon heralds this blessed month, may our lives be illuminated with faith, hope, and countless blessings,” he stated. “Ramadan offers us a divine opportunity to draw closer to Allah, to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood, and to recommit ourselves to service and humanity.”
The Majority Leader called on Muslim faithful to use the period to intensify prayers for the peace, stability, and socio-economic progress of Oyo State. According to him, sustained spiritual intercession, coupled with responsible leadership and active civic engagement, remains vital to building a prosperous and inclusive society.
Hon. Adebayo underscored the importance of collective responsibility in governance, noting that development is a shared endeavor that requires the cooperation of government, religious institutions, traditional leaders, and citizens alike. He urged residents of Saki West to continue supporting policies and initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure, education, healthcare delivery, and youth empowerment.
