Hon. Kareem Tajudeen Abisodun, the distinguished Member representing Saki West, Saki East, and Atisbo Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives and Chairman of the House Committee on Aviation Technology, graced the All Progressives Congress (APC) Oyo North Senatorial District meeting held in Iseyin on Saturday.
The strategic gathering, convened to assess the state of the party across the senatorial district, brought together stakeholders from thirteen Local Government Areas, ten from Oke-Ogun and three from Ogbomoso, signifying a robust display of political solidarity and forward planning within the APC ahead of future electoral contests.
At the heart of the meeting were updates presented by APC Ward Chairmen from each of the thirteen LGAs. They provided detailed reports on party affairs in their respective jurisdictions, outlining successes, challenges, and opportunities for further consolidation of the party’s grassroots structures.
The Senatorial Executive Committee equally seized the occasion to commend the unwavering commitment and individual contributions that continue to strengthen the party’s machinery across the region.
Addressing the assembly with statesmanship and candor, Hon. Kareem Tajudeen Abisodun lauded the APC’s pivotal role in shaping the political trajectory of its elected officials, acknowledging that without the platform and enduring support of the party, there would be no serving Senators, Representatives, or State Assembly members today.
“We owe our present mandates to the foundation laid by this great party. It is the APC that has made us. It is therefore incumbent upon us to remain loyal, committed, and to continuously work towards the advancement and success of the APC,” Hon. Abisodun declared, earning resounding applause from the delegates.
He extended particular appreciation to Senator Fatai Buhari, Hon. Olamijuwon Alao Akala, Hon. Luqman Ishola, Hon. Azeez Action, Hon. Shittu Ibrahim and Hon. Salam Waliu, Minority leader in absence for their roles in ensuring the successful organization of the meeting, noting that such unity and collaboration are crucial as the party sets its sights on the 2027 general elections.
“We must set aside our personal ambitions and interests. Our collective focus should be on strengthening our party and ensuring greater victories in the future,” he charged, underscoring the call for solidarity among party leaders and members alike.
The Senatorial Executive further acknowledged the impact of various empowerment programs spearheaded by Hon. Kareem Tajudeen Abisodun and other notable leaders. These initiatives, they noted, have been instrumental in not only enhancing the welfare of constituents but also solidifying the APC’s influence across the region
In an outpouring of gratitude and commendation, APC Chairmen from Saki West, Saki East, and Atisbo Federal Constituency detailed the substantial interventions facilitated by Hon. Abisodun. Highlighting recent initiatives, they reported that motorcycles were distributed to all Ward Chairmen within his constituency, along with a series of empowerment programs targeted at women and youth to boost economic independence and grassroots support.
Furthermore, they disclosed that Hon. Abisodun had personally disbursed a total of fifteen million naira, five million naira each to the Chairman.
As the meeting concluded, the atmosphere was one of renewed vigor and commitment, with stakeholders pledging to work in unison to fortify the APC’s standing and ensure an even more resounding success at the polls in 2027.
