A proud son of Saki and a rising star in Nigeria’s paint industry, Busari Abdulsamad Adekunle, CEO of Goldium Paints, has brought honour to Oke-Ogun after emerging first runner-up at the prestigious Revano Classic Paints National Competition held in Lagos.

Busari, a Chemical Engineer and professional painter, was among top contestants selected across seven states — Oyo, Osun, Ogun, Ekiti, Ondo, Kwara, and Lagos — after months of intensive training sessions organized by Revano Classic Paints for professional painters and decorators.

The training, which covered modern painting techniques, surface preparation, and decorative creativity, aimed to raise the standard of painting craftsmanship in Nigeria.

Speaking about his journey, Busari shared that he represented Osun State, having attended the training session in Osun, and expressed gratitude for the experience and recognition.

“It was a tough and exciting experience competing among the best painters in Nigeria. I’m proud to represent my community and to have come this far. Winning the ₦300,000 prize is a motivation to do more and train others,” he said.

The grand finale, which lasted two days in Lagos, featured demonstrations, color innovation contests, and design creativity challenges, drawing participants and industry stakeholders from across the country.

Busari’s success has been widely celebrated in Saki and beyond, with many describing his achievement as an inspiration to the youth, showing that skill, innovation, and dedication can open doors to national recognition.

Through his company, Goldium Paints, Busari continues to promote quality finishing and homegrown expertise, contributing to the growth of Nigeria’s construction and creative industries.

Indeed, Saki has produced yet another shining example of excellence  a young professional who’s painting his way into national prominence, one stroke at a time.
