Saki Celebrates as Distinguished Figures Open Hearts and Pockets for Fundraising Drive

In a display of unity and generosity, prominent personalities rallied together at the fundraising program for the transformation of the School of Basic Midwifery, Muslim Medical Foundation Saki, into the College of Nursing and Sciences, Saki. The occasion not only witnessed the esteemed presence of the Sultan of Sokoto but also showcased a remarkable outpouring of financial support from key figures.

Leading the charge was Alhaji Ahmed Raji SAN, the chief launcher, whose benevolence knew no bounds as he donated a substantial sum of 50 million Naira. His commitment to the cause set a powerful precedent, inspiring others to follow suit. Raji said the effort is a continuous process which he will keep reaching out to the community.

Senator Fatai Buhari, representing Oyo North, added to the wave of generosity by contributing 10 million Naira. His dedication to the betterment of education and healthcare in the region echoed through his substantial donation.

Hon. Tajudeen Abisodun Were, the honorable representative of Saki West, Saki East, and ATISBO Federal constituency, emerged as a beacon of support with an extraordinary contribution of 75 million Naira. His commitment to uplifting the community’s institutions garnered widespread admiration.

Senator Yunus Akintunde, not to be outdone, generously donated 4 million Naira, further reinforcing the collective determination to see the School of Basic Midwifery evolve into a prominent College of Nursing and Sciences.

The fundraising drive was not only about numbers but a testament to the unity and commitment of these distinguished personalities, who, along with other notable contributors, expressed their unwavering support for the noble cause. As Saki celebrated this display of communal spirit, the headlines resonated with the community’s gratitude: “Saki Thrives on Generosity as Chief Launcher, Senators, and Honorable Personalities Unite for Education and Healthcare Advancement.”

The Sultan of Sokoto and President Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, His Eminence Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, said he’s not a guest in Saki but a son of the soil who has served the town as a military officer in four decades ago a d returning today to promote the development of Islam and healthcare system in the town.

He added that such activities should be a continuous effort among the Muslim Community and upliftment of education and healthcare system in the town which everyone must contribute to and he is ready to support the community in realization of such dream.

The Okere of Sakiland, Oba Khalid Olabisi in his remark appreciate the efforts of all the guest invited to the occasion for partnering with the community in improving healthcare system and promotion of health education.

Similarly, The Chairman Muslim Community Saki, Alh. Sulaiman Oroyinyin praised the philanthropic efforts of all the invited guest to build a rewarding future with Muslim Community especially the Sultan of Sokoto for his fatherly support to the success of the programme.
