President Bola Tinubu will embark on a two-week working visit to Paris, France, starting Wednesday, April 2, 2025. According to a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the visit is designed to facilitate a comprehensive review of the administration’s mid-term performance and strategic planning for the future.
The statement, titled ‘President Tinubu to Embark on Working Visit to Paris’, highlights that during his stay, the President will assess key milestones achieved since taking office and refine strategies to further national development.
Onanuga emphasized that the retreat would provide an opportunity to evaluate ongoing reforms and outline objectives as Tinubu’s administration approaches its second anniversary.
“This period of reflection will inform plans to deepen ongoing reforms and accelerate national development priorities in the coming year,” the statement read.
The visit comes at a pivotal time, following notable economic advancements under Tinubu’s leadership. A key highlight is the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) recent report indicating a substantial rise in net foreign exchange reserves. As of 2025, reserves have surged to $23.11 billion, a significant improvement from the $3.99 billion recorded in 2023.
This increase is widely attributed to the administration’s fiscal reforms aimed at stabilizing the national economy and attracting foreign investment.
The Presidency underscored that Tinubu remains committed to fostering economic resilience, ensuring sustainable growth, and implementing policies that address key financial and infrastructural challenges.
His government has prioritized initiatives aimed at restructuring the energy sector, improving security, and enhancing the ease of doing business in Nigeria.
Despite his absence, the President will maintain active engagement with his cabinet and government officials, ensuring the continuity of governance activities. The statement reassured Nigerians that Tinubu would oversee crucial policy implementations remotely and stay informed about pressing national matters throughout his visit.
