President Bola Tinubu is set to depart Abuja on Wednesday for a two-week vacation in the United Kingdom, which is described as part of his annual leave.
The announcement was made by Mr. Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, in a statement released today.
The statement, titled “President Tinubu goes on annual leave,” emphasized that the vacation will serve as a “working vacation” and a retreat for the President to reflect on his administration’s economic reforms.
“He will use the two weeks as a working vacation and a retreat to reflect on his administration’s economic reforms,” Onanuga noted. “He will return to the country after the leave expires,” the statement concluded.
This trip marks Tinubu’s 27th foreign destination since taking office approximately 16 months ago and his fourth visit to the UK during this tenure. The President’s travel itinerary reflects a robust engagement with various nations, highlighting his commitment to international relations.
Since assuming office, Tinubu has visited numerous countries, including Equatorial Guinea, Kenya, and multiple trips to the United States and Saudi Arabia, among others. His extensive travel underscores a strategic approach to fostering diplomatic and economic ties on a global scale.
