President Bola Tinubu officially enacted the National Anthem Bill 2024 into law on Wednesday.
The new legislation aims to restore the former anthem, “Nigeria, We Hail Thee.” Senate President Godswill Akpabio announced this development during a joint plenary session attended by President Tinubu.
With the bill’s final approval, there will be a transition from the current anthem, “Arise O Compatriots.” The bill received swift approval from both the Senate and the House of Representatives.
