The Rector of the Oke-Ogun Polytechnic, Saki, Dr. Sikiru Ajibola Adetona, has celebrated the Christian faithful on Easter and urged them to pray for the country’s unity as Jesus Christ preached peace and harmony during his lifetime.
This was disclosed in a press release by the office of the rector, which reads in part:
“I join the world to celebrate Easter with our Christian brothers across the world; this period remains a symbol of love and unity for all of us to emulate as displayed by Jesus Christ during his lifetime, and it is indeed a rewardable act.”
The polytechnic boss enjoined people to spread love and unity among themselves, as displayed by Jesus Christ among his disciples.
“We must continue to spread love and extend hands of unity to our neighbors; these are true virtues of Jesus Christ that are worthy of emulation, and I implore everyone to emulate this.”
He called on Christian leaders and believers to continue praying for the nation’s unity as we have concluded the election and hoped for a smooth transition that should project the country onto the path of prosperity that the nation hopes for.
In addition, the Registrar of the Polytechnic, Chief Jimoh Adigun, and the Bursar, Mr. Sunday Ayanbisi, joined the rector in celebration and urged people to adopt the teachings of Easter in their daily lives.
