The Chairman of Saki West Local Government, Engr . Sarafadeen Ahmed Omirinde has described civil servants as the engine that propel effective administration in the country.
Omirinde stated this in his May Day celebration message to the entire work force in the country.
In his remarks, Omirinde described workers as the pilot of effective administration and he felt a sense of pride and appreciation of the contributions they have made on his achievements so far . “These were the people who kept the wheels of government turning, who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that the needs of the people of Saki West were met.”
Furthermore, Engr. Omirinde expressed his gratitude to the workers for their unwavering commitment and dedication to their jobs. He noted that without them, the Local Government would not be able to function effectively, and the needs of the people would go unmet.
He also went on to outline the achievements of the Council over the past years, ranging from the rehabilitation of roads, provision of good health care, provision of portable water, sanitation, among others and applauded the roles workers had played in making these achievements possible.
Engr. Omirinde emphasized that it was the hard work and dedication of workers that made it possible.
He acknowledged the support received from the Council workers led by the Head of Local Government Administration, Alh. Kola Basir kazeem from the day he assumed office and credited them for all the achievements recorded so far.
He assured workers that he will always replicate the welfarism package for workers as the people’s Governor Engr Seyi Makinde, used to do.
Hon. Omirinde concluded that this year celebration will bring hope and urged workers to renew their commitment to nation building in order to deliver good governance to the people.
