Youth Minister Leads Delegation to NYSC for Digital Skills Partnership

In a significant move to enhance digital literacy among Nigerian youth, Ayodele Olawande, Minister of State for Youth, spearheaded a delegation to the office of the Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brig. Gen. Y.D. Ahmed. The delegation included Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, Director-General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), and his management team.

The purpose of the visit was to finalize a groundbreaking partnership aimed at delivering digital skills to millions of Nigerian youth through the Digital Literacy for All (DL4ALL) initiative. This collaboration between NITDA and NYSC is set to revolutionize the digital landscape for young people across the country, equipping them with essential skills for the modern workforce.

Minister Olawande shared this development on his official X account, stating, “I led a delegation consisting of the Director-General of the National Information Technology Development Agency, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi and his management team to the office of the NYSC Director General, Brig. Gen. Y.D. Ahmed to conclude on a partnership talk I initiated between the two agencies to jointly deliver digital skills to millions of youth through the Digital Literacy for All (DL4ALL) initiative.”

This initiative underscores the commitment of both NITDA and NYSC to empowering the youth and fostering a digitally inclusive society.
