Hon. Niyi Adebisi, an APM candidate for the Saki West, Saki East and Atisbo Federal Constituency, has congratulated Fadilatu Sheikh Musa Bn Garuba Agbarigidoma on his appointment as the Grand Chief Imam of the Okere of Sakiland, describing the elevation as a significant responsibility and a sacred trust placed in a respected Islamic scholar and community leader.
In a congratulatory message issued on behalf of himself, his family and the Niyi Adebisi Campaign Organisation, Adebisi said the appointment represented more than a change in ecclesiastical status, stressing that it was also a recognition of Sheikh Musa’s longstanding commitment to Islamic scholarship, religious devotion, community service and the promotion of peaceful coexistence.
According to him, the new Grand Chief Imam has distinguished himself through years of dedication to the propagation of Islam, guidance of the faithful and service to humanity, qualities which, he said, have earned him the confidence and respect of members of the community.
Adebisi particularly commended the Okere of Sakiland, His Royal Majesty, Oba Khalid Olabisi Oyedepo III, for the appointment, describing the decision as an indication of confidence in Sheikh Musa’s character, knowledge and capacity to provide spiritual and moral leadership.
He noted that the office of Grand Chief Imam carries responsibilities extending beyond leading congregational prayers and religious activities, emphasizing its broader significance in promoting moral values, peaceful coexistence, unity and social responsibility within the community.
“This is not merely an appointment. It is a sacred trust. It is a recognition of a lifetime of devotion, scholarship and service to Almighty Allah and to humanity,” Adebisi stated.
The APM candidate further described Sheikh Musa as a man whose public and religious engagements have reflected qualities of knowledge, piety and integrity, expressing confidence that he would bring these attributes to bear in his new responsibility.
Adebisi used the occasion to draw parallels between religious and public leadership, arguing that both spheres ultimately require commitment to the welfare of the people rather than the pursuit of personal interest.
He maintained that leadership should be measured by the ability to serve, unite and provide direction, particularly during periods of social and economic challenges.
“Leadership, whether in politics or in religion, is about service. It is about putting the welfare of the people above personal interest. It is about being a voice for the voiceless, a hope for the hopeless, and a light in times of darkness,” he said.
He added that communities require leaders capable of encouraging dialogue, promoting peaceful relations and providing moral guidance, stressing that such qualities would be important to the continued development of Sakiland, Oke-Ogun and Oyo State.
The politician also called on residents and stakeholders across Saki West, Saki East and Atisbo Federal Constituency to join him in celebrating the appointment.
He urged members of the community to support the new Grand Chief Imam through prayers, cooperation and constructive engagement, while emphasizing the importance of collaboration across religious and community lines.
Adebisi said the development should be viewed as an opportunity to strengthen unity rather than deepen divisions, advocating cooperation among different faith communities and social groups in pursuit of common developmental objectives.

“May He make his leadership a source of unity, peace, spiritual growth and blessings for the people of Okere and the entire Saki community. May He elevate his status, increase him in knowledge and righteousness, and grant him success in serving Islam and humanity.”
Adebisi concluded his message by once again congratulating Sheikh Musa on the appointment and invoking the Islamic blessing, “Barakallahu Feeka.”
