Hon. Niyi Adebisi has met with student leaders and representatives from across Saki West, Saki East and Atisbo Federal Constituency in an engagement focused on education, youth development, student welfare and the challenges confronting young people in the area.
The meeting, held in Saki, was convened by Hon. Ige Abiola Mayowa, popularly known as ÒRÉ ARÁ ÌLÚ, as part of his contributions to the campaign and mobilisation efforts around Adebisi and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The engagement brought together representatives of student organisations and young leaders from the three local government areas, providing a platform for direct interaction and exchange of views between the students and Adebisi.
During the meeting, Adebisi emphasised the importance of young people to community development and encouraged students to remain active participants in conversations concerning their future and the development of their communities.
He also acknowledged the role of student leaders in identifying challenges within educational institutions and communicating such concerns to political leaders, policymakers and other relevant stakeholders.
The student representatives raised concerns covering education, welfare, empowerment opportunities, leadership development and the broader socioeconomic challenges affecting young people across the constituency.
Their contributions provided firsthand perspectives on the difficulties experienced by students and the expectations for stronger institutional support, greater opportunities and increased inclusion of young people in development initiatives.
Adebisi listened to the concerns presented and discussed possible areas of collaboration, while the interaction also highlighted the importance of maintaining stronger communication between political stakeholders, students and youth organisations at the grassroots.
The engagement further underscored the growing relevance of youth participation in constituency-level development discussions, particularly as students and young people constitute a significant segment of the population across Saki West, Saki East and Atisbo.
